Marketing Director/Actor

Thomas Biebers

Thomas Biebers is an actor and producer, known for Young Americans (2014), The Massively Mixed-Up Middle School Mystery (2014) and Jonestown (2013). When I took the stage at 8 years old as Linus in the musical “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”’ little did I know that it would turn into a lifelong love affair with the Theater. For the next 10 years, I was part of a very popular youth choir in San Diego, that further enhanced my passion.

Under the direction of Dr. Robert Henderson, along with the guidance of my mother, Joyce Biebers, who also had extensive theatrical training, our choir appeared on several local tv shows in San Diego throughout the late 1970’s to the early 1980’s. There was one in particular, Sun Up San Diego, which helped to seed another dream. Since the shows were taped, we could watch it the following week at home. I had seen myself before on TV, but this was the first time I saw my name on the closing credits. Tommy Biebers it said, and I knew right then that I wanted to be a screen actor.

In addition to the choir, I received specialized training at San Diego’s Junior Theater. I also had the opportunity to spend a summer at the famed Idyllwild Arts Academy.

Then a strange turn of events. A couple of months before I graduated high school, the members of Christ Lutheran Church in San Diego, for which the youth choir represented, brought me to front of the congregation. Then on this April Sunday in 1984, I was awarded a scholarship to California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California. Since this school was located not far from Hollywood, I could major in drama while chasing my dream of being a screen actor.

However, I had to publicly refuse the offer because just the day before, I had signed my enlistment papers for the United States Marine Corps. If it was the other way around, that I received the scholarship before joining the marines, who knows what would have happened.

Looking back, joining the service was probably the better choice, as it gave me the discipline I needed to never give up on my dreams. I would later attend California State University Long Beach, with a major in theater arts. When I returned to San Diego following college, I took every theater job I could find, including the San Diego Opera. But if anyone knows the life of a stage actor, you understand that it is difficult to make a living, so I had to make ends meet with traditional 9 to 5 jobs.

Then something else happened that would fulfill my dream of being a screen actor, and propelled me to where I am today. I was blessed to find Teresa Bungay, who’s father Rocky Bungay, was an actor in her home country of the Philippines, and would eventually become my wife. She pushed me to restart my career, and because of her and my mother I found success.

The majority of my on screen work has been in TV commercials, with Dell and T-Mobile as a few of the advertisers I worked with. I invite you to read over my IMDb, to see my credits. Since IMDb does not list commercials, I can provide you with a complete list if needed. I also have a few music videos under my belt as well.

With that I want to personally thank Dee Scott who “discovered” me for the role of Captain, and to George Clinton for offering me the part of a lifetime. I want to personally thank you for this wonderful opportunity.

Finally I want to pay tribute to my father, Casimir Biebers, who passed away in 2014. He was a Holocaust Survivor, and we are currently finishing up a book about his life as a Jewish resistance fighter in Warsaw.
